Kimbo Slice is a beast of a man. Slice fought on the streets just to make a living. He recently rose up from the underground through the use of social media and has professionally fought twice in the area of mixed martial arts, or MMA.
Slice fought in the backyards of Miami, and had someone videotape them. He posted the videos of himself brutally beating the living crap out of people on youtube. His videos became viral and everyone from teenagers to people screwing around at work began to watch them.
The use of social media, or more specifically youtube, allowed "Kimbo Fights" to have ripple effects on the internet. When the video's eventually reached marketing executives' ears and eyes, Kimbo's career took off. All in all, the kimbo fights are a great example of sports marketing through the use of social media.
